1. All rules found in 📜rules apply to New Haven
Base Building Rules
1. Do not block any roads or community resources such as water pumps, gas pumps, hospitals and police stations. Also bases are not allowed on any military area as they might get caught in a PVP zone. Bases blocking community resources or in military areas will be deleted by an admin along with all contents in the base. Green Mountain is the exception.
2. You can build using base building plus or vanilla building. Base building plus provides a robust wiki online for how to get started and how to craft using their tools.
3. Secure your base! Although there is no base raiding, it is your responsibility to secure your base. Admins will not replace stolen items although anyone raiding/base theft will result in a ban.
4. Cars parked at bases are property of that base just like items in the base. We have a mod to reduce impact damage so no need to keep extra cars just in case.
No Base Raiding is allowed at any time
PVP Rules
1. The PVP zones will be clearly marked on the map by a red circle. As you enter the zone a notification will show on your screen and in the bottom right you will see two crossed swords. You may only fire on another player once those swords show up. Firing into a PVP zone from outside the zone is not allowed. Both players must be within the zone.
2. These zones will move and rotate throughout the week. This is to allow those who do not wish to PVP to utilize the entire map. For example NWAF may have a PVP zone on Monday only. If you don't see the red circle it is not a PVP zone that day.
3. To avoid PVP outside the PVP areas, damage deflection is turned on. This also applies to friendly fire so aim carefully. If you shoot a player or get shot in the PVE area, the damage will harm the shooter and their gear vs yours. The shooter will take the amount of gear and player damage that would have landed on the other player.
Radio Zenit has been designated a community area. You may not build on the Radio Tower portion. Here you can find a cement mixer and power for making concrete bricks as well as an oven and water. It is marked by a large bonfire. The tents and barrels are for extra gear, loot and building materials you do not need. These will be open to the community. Do not take the tents or barrels but feel free to take the contents inside. Admins will not replace tents or barrels if they are stolen. This area will rely on our community to stay stocked. Got an extra box of nails, some extra planks, pristine cargo pants, extra meat from a hunt... just leave it in the barrels at the community center for a player who might be in need.
The biggest challenge to any PVE server is performance due to large bases and loot hoarding. We will rely heavily on our community to help us keep the server running smoothly. To protect server performance, the admins will be regularly cleaning up abandoned/unused bases. We monitor bases, so visit your base on a regular basis to avoid your base being flagged for cleanup. Likewise, if you abandon one base to move to another, let an admin know so we can clean up what is left behind. There are additional furniture items available on this server like metal crates (250 slots), wood storage boxes (280 planks, 1000 nails, 50 logs, firewood), wardrobes that hold an entire load-out etc. These are added in hopes to reduce the need for extra large bases as you can now store items in a much smaller footprint. Two crates which are the size of a sea-chest, hold as much as a car tent. Please either drop items for despawn that are not needed or donate to the community area to avoid loot hoarding of items you will not use. As there is no threat of player conflict only environmental, please store what you need and frequently check for items you do not. We really appreciate your help in advance!
